Promised Downfall from Castrop-Rauxel have stood for modern metalcore with depth since their formation in 2017. Influenced by bands like Architects, Spiritbox and Polaris, the six-piece band combines hard breakdowns with catchy melodies and atmospheric density.
With two guitarists, bass, drums, shouts, and vocals, they create a multifaceted sound that is both brutal and emotional. Their debut album, Catharsis , was released in April 2025 and impresses both stylistically and lyrically: personal and socio-critical themes meet powerful riffs and reflective passages. The singles "Metamorphosis," "Deceit," and "Haven" showcase the breadth of their work.
